The main scientific profile of the Institute of Mathematics and Basic Science is the applications of mathematics, statistics, physics and chemistry in agriculture, life sciences, engineering or economics. The researchers are involved in intensive joint projects together with other institutes of MATE contributing, among others, mathematical models and statistical analysis to high level publications. In the past three years, the number of co-authors in scientific collaboration of our institute is above 100. New scientific relations are still highly welcome.
